How to Vacuum a Pool (Above and Underground)

      Vacuuming above ground swimming pools:
      1. Prepare the vacuum system: First assemble the vacuum system, which usually includes a vacuum head, telescopic rod and vacuum hose. Attach the vacuum head to the wand and the hose to the designated suction port on the pool filtration system.
      2. Fill the vacuum hose: The vacuum hose must be completely filled with water before immersing the vacuum head in water.
      3. Start vacuuming: After the vacuum system is installed and started, hold the vacuum handle and slowly put the vacuum head into the water. Move the vacuum tip across the bottom of the pool, working in an overlapping pattern to ensure all areas are covered.
      4. Empty the skimmer basket: While vacuuming, regularly check and empty the skimmer basket to prevent any clogs or obstructions that may impede the vacuum's suction power.

      Inground swimming pool vacuuming:
      1. Choose the right vacuum: Inground pools may require different types of vacuum systems, such as a manual pool vacuum or an automated robot cleaner.
      2. Connect the vacuum: For a manual pool vacuum, connect the vacuum head to the telescoping wand and the vacuum hose to the designated suction port on the pool filtration system.
      3. Start vacuuming: If using a manual pool vacuum, submerge the vacuum head in the water and move it across the bottom of the pool, covering all areas in an overlapping pattern. For a self-cleaning robot, just turn on the device and let it navigate and clean your pool on its own.
     4. Monitor the cleaning process: Throughout the vacuuming process, keep a close eye on the water clarity of your pool and the performance of your vacuum system. Adjust cleaning modes or settings as needed to ensure a thorough and effective cleaning.
